Two Weeks in Exmouth

Two weeks in Exmouth might feel like a long time, but with so much to see and do, you might end up wishing you were staying longer.

Where in the world can you swim with whale sharks, hike through a gorge, tour national parks, take a glass-bottom boat tour, and enjoy some of the best food and beverage in the world?

If you answered Exmouth, Western Australia, you’re 100 percent correct! Exmouth is located on the WA’s jaw-dropping Coral Coast, and it has plenty to offer adrenaline junkies and people looking for a bit of rest and relaxation alike.

Let’s take a closer look at a few of the reasons why you won’t get bored with a two-week stay in Exmouth, Western Australia.

Stay at a local cattle station

If you’re planning a more extended visit and want a truly authentic experience, you should seriously consider spending a few nights at an outback station.

We recommend Warroora Ningaloo Wilderness and Bullara Station

They both offer a range of accommodation, from self-contained cottages and traditional shearers lodge to homestead campgrounds.

Get romantic with beach glamping

When you’ve had enough of living the cattle station life, why not treat yourself to a luxurious and romantic stay at Set Salis Ningaloo Reef

Set Salis is beach glamping at its finest. Idyllically located amongst the sand dunes of Cape Range National Park, wake up to Ningaloo Reef at your feet.

After a long day of exploring Ningaloo Reef, the ocean-front lounge is the perfect spot for a bite to eat and a cocktail.

Five things to do in Exmouth

With so much to do during two weeks in Exmouth, we thought a great place to start might be with our top five things to do in Exmouth.

Of course, we could write a blog thehealthchoices.com about what you should do in Exmouth without mentioning a tour with Live Ningaloo.

All of our tours will keep you busy for a full day, with guests usually getting back to their accommodation around 2:30 pm.

Snorkelling

If you love exploring the ocean, Exmouth is the palace to be! With some of the best beaches in the world, we’re certain snorkelling will consume a decent chunk of your two weeks in Exmouth.

Here are some of the best snorkelling spots in Exmouth:

  1. Turquoise Bay
  2. Osprey Bay
  3. Oyster Stacks
  4. Lakeside Beach
  5. Muiron Islands

Eat, eat, and eat some more

As you may have already guessed, Exmouth is home to some of the world’s freshest seafood in the world. It’s just one of the perks of holidaying in a beach-side town.

If you love seafood and want a truly special dining experience, you simply can’t go past Whalers Restaurant. We’re willing to bet you might drop in more than once during your two weeks in Exmouth.

After a jam-packed day of adventures, you will have surely worked up a thirst. Why not head to Froth Craft Brewery in town for a meal and try one (or many) of their 14 artisan craft beers brewed on-site?

For dinner, another one of our favourites is Whalebone. Note: Whalebone is an outdoor venue, so make sure you dress appropriately. It can get pretty busy up here, so we recommend getting to places early to avoid disappointment.

Planning a shorter stay

If you don’t have the time for two weeks in Exmouth, we’ve got you covered with a two-night itinerary and a four-night itinerary.
